The Investment Casting Y Type Strainer – Flanged End ASA 150# with Bolted Cover is made by Universal Valves Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, part of the Universal Group, which has manufactured industrial valves since 1972. A Y type strainer removes rust, scale, weld spatter and other debris from the line with a cylindrical screen. This protects downstream pumps, meters, control valves and steam traps. The angled screen leg can be cleaned through a cover without disturbing the pipework.
Investment (lost wax) casting gives a dense, smooth body with accurate dimensions and a fine surface finish. CF8 is the cast equivalent of SS 304 and CF8M the cast equivalent of SS 316. CF8M contains molybdenum for better resistance to chlorides, acids and pitting.
