Ltd., Ahmedabad, part of the Universal Group, which has manufactured industrial valves since 1972. A wafer type check valve (flap NRV) uses a hinged flap that opens with forward flow and closes on flow reversal, in a slim body that fits between two flanges.
Investment (lost wax) casting gives a dense, smooth body with accurate dimensions and a fine surface finish. CF8 is the cast equivalent of SS 304 and CF8M the cast equivalent of SS 316. CF8M contains molybdenum for better resistance to chlorides, acids and pitting.
