The Investment Casting Gate Valve – Screwed Bonnet, Screwed / Socket Weld End is made by Universal Valves Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, part of the Universal Group, which has manufactured industrial valves since 1972. A gate valve isolates flow by raising or lowering a wedge between two seats. When fully open the bore is unobstructed, giving negligible pressure drop – ideal for lines that stay fully open or fully closed.
Investment (lost wax) casting gives a dense, smooth body with accurate dimensions and a fine surface finish. CF8 is the cast equivalent of SS 304 and CF8M the cast equivalent of SS 316. CF8M contains molybdenum for better resistance to chlorides, acids and pitting.
