The Investment Casting Butterfly Valve – Wafer Type, EPDM Seat, Hand Lever PN 16 is made by Universal Valves Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, part of the Universal Group, which has manufactured industrial valves since 1972. A centric (concentric) butterfly valve uses a rotating disc on a central shaft to regulate or isolate flow. The wafer pattern sits between two pipe flanges, making it the lightest and most economical valve for medium and large pipelines.
Investment (lost wax) casting gives a dense, smooth body with accurate dimensions and a fine surface finish. CF8 is the cast equivalent of SS 304 and CF8M the cast equivalent of SS 316. CF8M contains molybdenum for better resistance to chlorides, acids and pitting.
