A T type (tee) strainer has a removable basket screen in the branch of a tee body. It gives a large screening area and quick access for cleaning from the top.
Cast steel ASTM A216 WCB has higher strength and toughness than cast iron. It is suited to higher pressures and temperatures and is the standard material for steam, oil and hydrocarbon service.
