The Cast Iron Y Type Strainer – Screwed End is made by Universal Valves Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, part of the Universal Group, which has manufactured industrial valves since 1972. A Y type strainer removes rust, scale, weld spatter and other debris from the line with a cylindrical screen. This protects downstream pumps, meters, control valves and steam traps. The angled screen leg can be cleaned through a cover without disturbing the pipework.

Cast iron is a strong, economical body material with good damping and wear resistance. It is the standard choice for water, utility and low-pressure services.
